Michelle Ivey Jordan was born into a middle class family in Dallas, Texas. As a child, she displayed a lot of personality and enjoyed participating in her family’s jam sessions. During this time, it was her uncle who proved to be the strongest musical influence in her life. At age 7, she was involved in her school’s chorus team, and would often sit and dream about becoming a country music singer. Since country was the music she loved to sing the most, her favorite pastime was listening to old 45’s of Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire. In her early adult life, she stayed musically motivated by singing in her church choir, performing the national anthem at rodeos and local events, and winning several singing contests. In 2010, Michelle began singing with a band in New Mexico. She was approached by someone in the film industry who offered her a role as a police officer in a TV series in Albuquerque. She also was told she was good at improvisation, so she started doing stand-up comedy to add to her entertainment repertoire. In 2011, she moved to Southern California where she auditioned and was accepted into an acting agency. With her acting well in hand, she turned her attention once again to her first love…music. She is now recording her debut album with Nashville Tracks producer Travis Allen Childress.
Her first single “Razor Blades and Whiskey” was Published on May 26, 2013.
